Newfane Athletics Supervision and Reminders

Dear Newfane School Community,
We are excited for another action packed week of athletics at the High School, including our Panther football team hosting Randolph Friday night for a 7:00 PM kickoff. As we anticipate a large number of fans, it is prudent to remind our students, families and visitors of our Fan Code of Conduct as well as our expectations when it comes to our middle and elementary students.
As a result of past safety and supervision concerns, the following rule was implemented:
All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult
to attend Newfane CSD athletic competitions.
As a school district, it is of utmost importance to keep our students, families and visitors safe when they are on our premises. Having a number of unsupervised children impedes our supervisors, administrators and law enforcement’s ability to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Any elementary or middle school students dropped off and not accompanied by an adult will not be admitted to our athletic events and parents will be called to pick up their child(ren). We simply cannot safely manage the overwhelming number of students not supervised by their parents/guardians at athletic events.
Our Fan Code of Conduct can be found on our Athletics web page at https://newfane.wnyric.org/282572_2
In addition:
-We ask that NO E-bikes be used within the school campus, in particular around the athletic facilities. There is a bike rack on the side of the high school that can be used to store bikes during the game.
-Please DO NOT park on either side of the loop nearest the athletic complex. This impedes emergency first responders from coming and going, as well as creates congestion and dangerous situations in a high traffic area. If parked here, law enforcement will ask you to move your vehicle.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and support. We hope to see you Friday night. Go Panthers!
Sincerely,
Andrew Busch
Newfane Athletic Director
